Rene
de Haan was born in 1960 in Utrecht, the Netherlands. He now lives and
works in Amsterdam. He's self-taught and has been working freelance
since 1988, mainly in the field of publicity stills for dutch
filmcompanies, but the past few years he makes more and more portraits
and nudes. In 1999 he sold some of his pictures to Dutch Playboy and
since then he's working on a freelance basis for them. He prefers to
shoot in black & white, his style is rather down-to-earth and has a
very natural look.
