Born and raised on the beautiful island of Skopelos, Greece, Vangelis Beltzenitis became interested in photography at the age of 12. He first studied to be a tour operator and worked in the tourist industry before winning a scholarship to study photography in Athens.

Vangelis is a professional photographer contributing regularly to the Photographic Center of Skopelos (one of the main centers in Greece), teaching photography and supervising photographic workshops.

For the last two years he has worked as a freelance photographer, primarily for the municipalities of the Sporades Islands, tour operators, weddings and websites, with occasional work in fashion. His photographs have been published in national and international travel magazines and many of his photos have been purchased for use on a growing number of websites.

Vangelis is mainly interested in themes such as travel, people, the human body, social events and nature. He is eagerly sought after from all over Greece for his remarkable and romantic portrayal of weddings. Equally, he is a superb photographer of nature with a huge library of photographs. Vangelis is available for selective photographic assignments.
